Accessibility statement
Last updated
We want everyone to be able to get a roof estimate and read our guides, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is a goal we work toward and test against. It is not a certification, and no outside party has certified this site.
What we do
- Every form field has a visible label, and errors are announced and tied to the field they describe.
- The estimator works one question at a time, announces your progress, and moves focus to each new step.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone and shows a visible focus outline. A "Skip to main content" link comes first.
- Text and controls meet WCAG AA color contrast, and buttons and links are large enough to tap.
- Pages reflow at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom without sideways scrolling, and motion is reduced if your device asks for it.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages use headings, landmarks, and lists so they are easy to navigate. A site map lists every page.
How we test
We check pages with automated tools (axe-core and Lighthouse) and with manual keyboard and screen-reader spot checks. Automated tools catch only some problems, so we also rely on feedback from people using the site.
Known limitations
- Links to outside sources (government agencies, manufacturers, and standards bodies) go to websites we don't control.
- If we turn on a spam-protection check on the estimate form, it is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, which is designed to work with assistive technology. If it blocks you, email us and we'll help.
Need help or found a problem?
Email [email protected]. Tell us the page and what happened. We'll help you get your estimate or book a free inspection another way, and we aim to reply within two business days.
